REPORT OF INSTALLATION IDA MAVELIKARA BRANCH, KERALA Indian Dental Association (IDA) Mavelikara Branch created history on 14th November 2004 Sunday by being the first branch or organize the inauguration of association activities on board. We all assembled at the Finishing point of Nehru Trophy Boat race at Alappuzha, to get on board Pulikkattil House Boat. The programme started by about 10 Am with prayers and moved on to the welcome speech by Dr. Vinod V. Sam, followed by the Presidential address by Dr. Mathew Sam. As a due recognition, Dr. Mathew Sam sponsored gifts to the most active and supportive members of his team of office bearers. The past one-year achievements were highlighted at Dr. Nirmal George Saibu’s (Secretary 2003-2003) annual report. As we moved along the lasters of Punnamada lake enjoying the serene and picturesque beauty of Kuttanad, IDA’s beloved State President, Dr. Premkumar G. administered the honour of installing the incoming president and his team members. The next programme on the agenda was the acceptance speech by Dr. Prasad T. We really missed our loving State Secretary, Dr. Ravindranath who was to inaugurate the association activities for the year 2004-2005, as he was held up elsewhere due to unforeseen circumstances. We were privileged to have an IAS Officer, Sri. Rajan, as our Chief Guest, who is the Secretary of Kerala sports Council, Charmed as with his thought providing words. All of us were sitting there as if under a magical spell. Dr. Johny Kutty past president of IDA, Pathanamthitta branch, Dr. Binu, Secretary, IDA Alappuzha, Dr. Rajeev, treasurer, IDA Kottayam branch were with us to give their felicitation. DR. Anil G., the newly installed secretary, gave the last words. He was thankful to all the people gathered in making the programme a grant success. As the official programme was getting over, the ball started ruling for the variety entertainment programmes, fellowship and lunch. At 4 pm, we reached to our finishing point.
