A twenty member Regional Dental Club evolved as IDA KUNNAMKULAM with 33 charter members on 3-9-2000.The inauguration of our branch was officiated by the then District Collector of Trichur ,Sri Alkesh Kumar Sharma First year achievements Introduced membership register. Released newsletter Image. Conducted Indo German free maxillofacial and plastic surgery camp In association with IMA ,Kunnamkulam. Hosted State EOGM in the first year of inception of the branch. Introduced insurance coverage for the branch members. Our branch was adjudged the best local branch of the year. In the year 2001-2002 we bagged the second best branch award. Dr.Sajeev and Dr.Ajin won the shuttle tournament held at Palakkad. In the year 2002-2003 we introduced the Mega CDE concept.Dr.Shamsudhin Moopen presented a workshop on Straightwire techniques. Around 200 delegates attended this well appreciated CDE. In the year 2003-2004 our Secretary, Dr. Abdul Latheef was awarded the President`s appreciation award for the Best Local Branch Secretary. We adopted Mary Matha Orphanage ,Mother Teresa road, Kunnamkulam and hosted the fourth State Executive Meeting. In the year 2004-2005 we collected Rs.50,000 from our co-operative members as a contribution to the Tsunami victims` fund.
